On Saturday, July 27, fans of the legendary Volkswagen Beetle will once again visit Kolbudy. From 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., all motoring fans will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the characteristic „hunchbacked” vehicles with a soul. The „Beetle Town” will be located on the grounds of the Municipal Sailing Marina. The owners of beautiful cars, sometimes several dozen years old, will certainly be happy to answer any questions about the vehicles to which they devote every free moment.

The Beetle Parade and musical attractions

At 12:00 – as every year – a column of Volkswagens will drive through the streets of the commune along the route (Kolbudy – Lublewo Gd. – Bielkówko – Żmijewo – Lisewiec – Pręgowo – Kolbudy). There will be attractions for children, rally competitions and food trucks. There will also be a prize for the owner of the most beautiful car at the rally. The winner’s statuette will be presented by the mayor Marek Goliński.

After the motoring excitement, there will be time for musical attractions. The Summer Garbus Festival will feature bands from Sweden, Slovakia and, of course, Poland. The event will be hosted by the lead vocalist of the Czarno-Czarni band, Jarosław Janiszewski. The patronage over the rally was assumed by the Kolbudy Commune.

Flag football players will fight on the sand – Bech Bowl Kolbudy

It has already become a tradition that on the same day as the Garbusy rally, a national Flag Football tournament is held at the Kolbudy beach.

Four teams will compete for the main trophy of the competition. During breaks between matches of adult competitors, adepts of this sport, which is gaining in popularity, will present their skills.

The organizers of BEACH BOWL KOLBUDY 2024 are: SAKiS Cultural and Sports Activity Association, Trust The Process Dawid Magrean and the Kolbudy Commune. The event is held as part of the implementation of the Communal Program for the Prevention and Solving of Alcohol Problems and Counteracting Drug Addiction for the Kolbudy Commune for the years 2022-2025.

The aim of the tournament is to encourage children and young people to spend their free time in alternative ways and participate in sports activities.

The tournament will take place at the Kolbudy Sailing Marina at 3 Adama Ważnego Street. Matches will be played between 10:00 and 17:00.
